Vertically Integrated Capabilities to Drive Healthcare Manufacturer Success Worldwide
GERMANTOWN, WI (August 4, 2021) – With an accelerated focus on vertically integrating its tooling, molding and automation capabilities through cross-functional collaboration and a single source of accountability, MGS is positioned to do all it can to drive customer success in a healthcare market earmarked by complexity, uncertainty and speed. The company will be sharing more about its unique ability to drive this success at the upcoming MD&M West conference in Anaheim, CA (August 10-12).
A contract manufacturing partner to more than 50 of the world’s leading healthcare and pharmaceutical providers, MGS has made several recent bold moves to help companies de-risk the supply chain, innovate more quickly and speed the delivery of complex components across the globe.
According to Paul Manley, MGS President & CEO, “Through the pandemic, our customers reaped the benefit of what we have known for a long time is MGS’ single greatest differentiation: the ability to integrate our capabilities to design, execute and ramp up production quickly. Producing millions of COVID-19 test kit components in just 12 weeks would not have been possible without tapping the experience and cross-functional expertise inside the company.”
To accelerate customer adoption of these competencies globally, the company has recently taken several steps to equip customers with the capabilities and experience they need. Visitors to MGS booth #3059 will gain insights into:
The recently formed iMGS business (integrated MGS) which provides customers with a single source of supply and accountability across its tooling, molding and automation businesses. The iMGS business is part of MGS’ Healthcare Center of Excellence located in Germantown, WI.
The acquisition of Formteknik, a European-based manufacturer of innovative tooling solutions with locations in Denmark, Sweden and Germany. Formteknik, in partnership with MGS Ireland, accelerates MGS’ ability to expand its vertically-integrated healthcare delivery model across Europe and other parts of the world.
The recently created position Chief Technology Officer & Senior Vice President of Automation, held by Shawn Krenke, who oversees the company’s iMGS and automation businesses. The new role is designed to accelerate innovation and the delivery of global technology-driven solutions.
MGS now employs more than 1,500 employees with 17 facilities globally. Both Paul Manley and Bob Bordignon, Senior Vice President of Global Sales, will be available at MDM West for interviews.
